This is to clarify with all U8 Fledglings Players that you are REQUIRED TO PURCHASE CLUB SHORTS AND SOCK THIS SEASON!

The shorts from previous seasons are not longer able to be worn (this were included FREE as part of your registration in previous years).

This year we upgraded the playing jersey for the U8 Fledglings to the same standard as the rest of the club and that meant having to go sublimated (which is also why there has been a delay this year as these jerseys need to come from overseas).

There were several reasons for this change which was explained at our first session (Team Placement) which included:

1. Upgrading the uniform to the same standard as the rest of the club – Jersey provided, but you need to purchase Club Shorts and Socks.
2. Preventing the practice of the adding of player names to the jerseys (the design stops that) due to child safety concerns – explained at Team Placement.
3. When players were moving from U8 Fledglings to MiniRoos many were not complying with the Club’s Licencing requirements which requires all trave teams to wear the licenced uniform – we moved from green to black shorts last year and this year we decided that we would upgrade the jersey and no longer include the shorts and socks.

This was made very clear at the first session (Team Placement) and it is also stated on the website the U8 Fledglings inclusion is now JERSWERY/TRAINING SHIRT ONLY and that players MUST purchase the club shorts and socks as do all other programs at the club.

The new jerseys that players will receive as part of their fees in U8 Fledglings cost the club the same as the whole kit has previously as we have upgraded the jerseys to being a sublimated jersey the same as the rest of the club rather than an off the shelf kit.

This was also explained at out first session as part of our program overview that parents would need to purchase Club Shorts and Socks this year from the Club Store.

We have noticed a lot of non-compliance last weekend and we are needing to ensure that the correct uniforms are being worn in preparation for the new U8 Fledglings Jerseys being delivered!
